Absolutely. It is essential that you have your own instrument for lessons and for regular practice between lessons. Your progress depends on how much practice you put into your instrument. Please see the Pricing page for rental prices if you aren’t ready to buy your own instrument yet.
Playing music is a life-long ability that can always be improved and expanded on. Your time learning music will depend on how far you want to take it. The stars are the limit!
No one is too old to start playing an instrument! In fact, studies have shown that learning a new instrument during old age improves cognitive function and memory and reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s and other brain disorders.
Starting ages for each instrument are as follows:
Piano/Keyboard – 5 years
Guitar – 6 years
Vocals – 5 years
Drums – 6 years
Violin – 6 years
Saxophone – 8-9 years
